Curriculum – Primary School

Primary School Overview (Wells On Nut)

The Primary School at Wells On Nut includes grades one to five. Our curriculum has been designed and refined over many years using the best current knowledge in education regarding how children learn and develop.

Learning is at the heart of the Wells curriculum. It is a skills-based, inquiry-oriented program that addresses the developmental needs of the whole child: intellectual, emotional, social, behavioral, and physical. Teachers focus on fundamental literacy skills outlined by the US Common Core Standards, integrating them into thematic units of inquiry where students explore topics in science and social studies. This creates interesting, engaging, and effective learning experiences.

Our teachers blend diverse instructional strategies to meet each child’s unique needs while fostering enjoyable learning environments. The mathematics curriculum also follows US Common Core Standards, using up-to-date materials and methods. Students learn not just mathematical procedures, but crucially, mathematical concepts.

Personal development and success extend beyond academics, so we implement “Habits for Success”—behavioral guidelines that highlight the attitudes and behaviors students need to become happy, healthy, and successful individuals.

Specialist classes enrich the core curriculum through Thai or Chinese language, physical education, performing and visual arts, computer technology, and Thai culture.

This holistic approach ensures our Primary students build strong foundations for lifelong learning, confidence, and global citizenship.
