EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Overview
Wells International School prepares students for success in leading universities worldwide through a holistic, rigorous curriculum emphasizing critical thinking, communication, and global awareness. Our after-school programs focus on sports, creativity, service, and visual & performing arts, offering personalized pathways for academic and extracurricular pursuits. These optional—but highly encouraged—activities build confidence, teamwork, and real-world skills to develop well-rounded global citizens who thrive in arts, athletics, service, and leadership.
Sports
As proud members of the ASEAN Sports and Activities Conference (ASAC) and the Asia International Schools Athletics Association (AISAA), our Wells Seahawks compete fiercely in recreational play and competitive local and international meets across Bangkok and Asia-Pacific international schools, earning dozens of championships. Teams excel in basketball, soccer, volleyball, badminton, swimming, and track & field, with inter-school tournaments promoting fitness, discipline, and school spirit.
Service & Community Engagement
Service is central to our IB Diploma and high school Creativity, Activity & Service Program (CAS). Student-led clubs like Student Council, Model United Nations (MUN), and Red Cross partner with local community partners and NGOs for projects aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Students engage in inter-school conferences, community service trips (i.e., volunteering at local orphanages, beach clean-ups, environmental initiatives), student leadership roles, local business internships, and global citizenship efforts through advocacy and research.
Visual & Performing Arts
Students shine on stage and demonstrate creativity through our Visual & Performing Arts programs. The Visual & Performing Arts Department hosts annual themed theater and music productions, Art Week, and the IB Visual Arts Exhibition, alongside opportunities in So You Think You Can Dance competitions, live performances, and local/international arts contests. These initiatives showcase talent in visual arts, dance, music, and drama—fostering creativity, collaboration, and high-energy school events.
